Membership Drive 2009 -- Nine Holes for New Members --Final Numbers!!!Publish Date: 2009-01-13 This year’s Membership Drive has a golf theme. In this game of golf, the highest score wins.
Points are awarded to each of the four teams based on members in attendance, guests, and new members. Negative points are giving if a member has been absent for more than 4 consecutive weeks. Bonus points are awarded if member’s dues are paid before December 16, if members have been in attendance for more than 4 consecutive weeks, or if any member chooses to wear knickers to the meeting.
Each week the scores are tallied. The captain with the least number of points for that week is privileged to wear the “special” jacket.
Contest will run nine weeks and will conclude before the Mid America Classic Basketball Tournament. The MAC is January 29, 30, and 31.
The winning team will receive a special breakfast for members in attendance.

Week 1
Hybrids had the lowest score and Chad Clark struts in his jacket.
Week 2
Birdie Barrage had the lowest score and Keith Janzen flaunts his jacket.
Week 3
Hybrids can not buy a break...so Bob Baldwin dons the jacket this week.
Week 4
Bill's Bogies and Hybrids tied this week. Since the Hybrids have worn the jacket twice, it was now Bill Parker of Bill's Bogies turn.
Week 5
We are half way though the Membership Drive. This week, bonus points were awarded for members who have attended five consecutive weeks. Consequently, negative points were calculated for those that have not attended in the past five weeks. Also, points were added for each team member that has paid their dues. This week, Birdie Barrage had the lowest score, so Jamie Piper parades in the lovely jacket. Can anyone stop the Bru Crew? Come to next week's meeting and help your team tame Tiger Woods' Bru Crew!!
Week 6
Bill's Bogies' tee shot went out of bounds. Their next shot was in the water. After the drop, they found the sand box. It was not a good week for the "Bogies". Larry Shotts poses with the jacket.
Week 7
Several of the team members on the Bru Crew were caught napping after their big Christmas Celebration. Pete Brubaker is honored to wear the jacket this week.
Week 8
The Hybrids had another tough week. They posted the lowest score of the Membership Drive, 6 points. Rick Stein wears the jacket this week.
Week 9 (Final Week)
This was the final week of the 2009 Membership Drive. We had 68 people in attendence with 60 of those attending being members of the club. The Bru Crew pulled out all the stops and posted 64 points for the final week. On the other hand, the Hybrids had another off week with only 6 points. Fred Bohnenblust shows off the jacket and score board. 
Congratulations to the Bru Crew for winning this years Membership Drive. They will be rewarded with a free breakfast on January 27. Thanks to Doug Curtwright for heading up this years Drive. Thanks to all the members that brought guests over the last nine weeks. To all the new members, Welcome to the club!!
