2007 Gift Program is Underway!Publish Date: 2007-11-20 The 2007 version of the McPherson Optimist Club Gifts intended of Teens (Gift) program is off to a great start. The first major part of the project is the Family Night at the American Legion, which allows us to raise a big part of the funding we use to buy the gifts. This year's event was nearly as successful as the record breaking event of last year, as it appears we will clear over $825. Our club again stepped up when asked, and furnished desserts, sold tickets, served drinks, cleared tables and swept floors. We even ate hamburgers and fries and numerous desserts ourselves! Here are a couple pictures of this year's event. So far, 35 different members have helped on the this project. Great job Optimists.
