The team of Ardie Streit, John Klenda, Larry Fitzmorris and Dave Chartier sprinted out to a nine stroke lead after the first six holes and then held off a furious late charge by the team of Brad Miller, Donna Viola, James Nelson and Tim (I\'m not a ringer) Devries to take a two shot victory in the first golf outing of 2009. This event was held at Hesston
Golf course and featured the \"ultimate team\" format of scramble, shamble and play your own ball. We had six teams and a total of 20 players and one \"marshall\". The weather was terrific and so was the fun.
In addition to the team contest, Larry Fitzmorris won closest in the second shot on hole 11, Fred Bohnenblust has closest to the pin on number 17 and George Hurlburt had the longest putt on number 18.
